***Attention Registration Applicants***

This is a friendly reminder regarding your responsibility as an interpreter, in the state of Mississippi, to adhere to the Interpreter Registration Law.

Before sending in your registration application, make sure you include the following:

  • Payment (money order or check only)
  • Copy of Driver’s License
  • Copy of National Certification, State Screening Level, or E.I.P.A. 3.0 or above (whichever is applicable)
  • Send a clear and appropriate digital picture to koquinn@mdrs.ms.gov or bwagenknecht@mdrs.ms.gov or ahunter@mdrs.ms.gov or come to ODHH office to take a picture
  • All other required documentation to process the application

If an incomplete application is received, it will be returned to you WITHOUT being processed.

If you are renewing your registration and you are expired more than 30 days, please include a $10.00 late fee with your payment.

All payments must be made to the order of MDRS and application packets sent to ODHH.

***MSQA in good standing, continue to register as Regular. Continue to send the copy of MSQA card along with the registration application.

 

***Expired MSQA, register as provisional, continue to send the most recent copy of MSQA level or any other licensures/certifications along with the registration application and you will receive two letters (for your employer(s)).   The letters will state what licensure/certificate you had.

 

***First time interpreters with no certification, will be consider as a normal provisional procedure as stated in the Registration application.

 

***All type of registration included the basic necessary of Application, copy of Driver's License, digital picture and money (Personal/Bank Checking or Money Order only: No Cash).
